Mono Portrait Day 52 of 365

I wanted to try this out for a while.  I saw the idea a long time ago in a magazine.  Emily is not really standing near a window with blinds in it.  She is leaning against the wall in the living room.

To do this I cut out slots in some cardboard and hung it from a light stand with a reflector holder.  I used a strobe with only a reflector on it and no umbrella or softbox.  I put the cardboard between the strobe and Emily.

I converted this to mono in Lightroom.

I brushed her hair before we started.  She kept jumping around too much for it to stay neat between shots.
